Arnie Gardner, a native to Newport, Rhode Island grew up in the Salt Lake City area. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1972 with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of Utah Law School and earned his J.D. degree in 1976. He was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1977. He is married and has two college age daughters. He enjoys sailing on the Great Salt Lake in his Hunter 240 sailboat. He also enjoys exploring his Scottish heritage by traveling to Scotland when he can, and enjoying Single Malt Scotch when he can't.
